External NOCN moderation, 17 July 2009, Thank you all for your hard work. Begonia and Chrissi
"Hi All
As you know the external moderator from NOCN looked at a sample of the language skills files today.
He was yet again extremely pleased with the standard of work produced and his comments included:
Thank you to everyone involved in this- tutors, moderators and curriculum leads- you have all worked very hard and this shows in the results! Well done- I look forward to seeing you at some of the training sessions over the summer (dates available soon)"

It is quite an accolade to have student files to be viewed as ‘Best seen in the North East for years’. Well done and thank you so for all your hard work and effort. - fantastic use of media to demonstrate competence (he particularly enjoyed seeing the video that Mauricio made of his Spanish classes)
- good practice for using target language in class
- portfolios were well laid out with correct cross referencing of materials
- learners have good understanding of the language and some are above the level at which they are learning
